Local Law Enforcement
Approximately 50 cars have been marked with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the German town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.
Cars, exterior walls and mailboxes were defaced, sometimes with swastikas, they stated in a official communication.
Law enforcement report they were notified during the night on Wednesday, when a man observed that a automobile in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been marked with a red-colored liquid.
The fluid had been applied in the form of a swastika, they added.
Law enforcement then located numerous other vandalized automobiles and building exteriors in the nearby vicinity.
Nazi symbols are prohibited in Germany under regulations outlawing the public exhibition of Nazi symbols.
Police state preliminary tests suggest the fluid was probably human bodily fluid.
"At present there remains no clue as to where it came from; investigators are not yet informed of any harm in association with the event," they stated.
Local authorities stated they were attempting "to unravel the incident" and have asked to the community for tips.
An important political figure stated the attack rendered him speechless and had to be solved rapidly.
"This event strikes at the very heart of Hanau and reawakens the wounds of the right-wing attack in 2020," he posted on a platform, recalling the killing of nine individuals by a shooter aiming at residents of migrant background in five years prior.
