Presidential Offer

The president stated he’s discussed a White House visit for the parents of both individuals of the state National Guard.

“I told them: ‘When you’re prepared, because that’s a difficult moment, visit the White House. We’re going to honor Sarah,” Trump addressed journalists. “And likewise with him, recover or not.”

Public Reaction

Community members assembled over the past few days at Webster County high school in the state to honor Beckstrom.

Both they had been fulfilling duties with the West Virginia National Guard as part of the president’s federal initiative to aid policing efforts in DC.

Paying Tribute to Beckstrom

She conducted herself with inner fortitude, a bright grin and a positive energy that inspired those around her,” the principal, the head of her previous school, informed the Associated Press. “She was sweet, compassionate and always ready to help others.”

Service plans for Beckstrom are in the process of planning.
