The Holiday Drink – A Recipe

We present a simplified version of a drink from the seasonal cocktail list. Designed as a batch pre-mixed that is loaded with flavours of the Christmas time, making it ideal for your holiday party. Save the extra cordial you can use for brunch beverages, desserts, or for more rounds of bikinis.

Bikini Recipe

Yields 10 servings

For the Clementine Cordial (produces 750ml)

300ml fresh clementine juice
200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g granulated sugar

For the Drink (produces 850ml, enough for 10)

400ml decent vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml clementine syrup (from the recipe above)
A few cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch

Instructions

Making the Citrus Syrup: Put every ingredients in a saucepan, heat until it reaches a gentle boil, agitating so the sugar melts. Next, turn off the burner allowing it to cool entirely. Transfer to a sealable bottle, cap it and store in the refrigerator, where it will keep for up to a month.

Preparing the Batch Mix: Mix all the spirits and syrup into a big jug, allow it to infuse for one hour, then filter it best through cheesecloth, making it fully clarified.

When ready to serve: Pour 85ml of your cocktail base into a cocktail shaker filled with ice, gently stirring gently for one minute until cold. Strain into a frosted cocktail glass or a similar vessel, top with a few cranberries adding the final touch using a light spray of the essential oil above the glass.
